CASTILLO DE ALMANSA |
This wine comes from the family-owned Piqueras bodega. It owns
no vineyards but buys in all its grapes from contract growers, whose
vineyards, methods and picking dates it helps to supervise. This
crianza red is made from 75%
Cencibel and 25%
Monastrell, with 18 months in oak. I bought it in Eppings
(a brilliant delicatessen in Totnes, Devon) for around £7 and it was worth
every penny. |
