JUMILLA WINES

AIRÉN

Produced by ASDA this a fresh and fruity dry white from the most wide-spread white grape in Spain, the Airén.

CASTILLO

This wine, like the Montesinos is made from a blend of Tempranillo and Monastrell. This really is an excellent value for money dry white wine. It has a hint of honey, no oak, and is delicious with plainly-cooked fish.

MACABEO

Produced by ASDA this a dry white tasting of citrus fruit with a slight hint of oak, and made from the Macabeo grape which is more common in northern Spain.

MONASTRELL

The Monastrell is the most prevalent red grape in Jumilla and produces soft easy-drinking wines with a slight hint of vanilla.

MONTESINOS

This wine is made from a blend of Tempranillo and Monastrell. For a young wine it is fairly full-bodied and has a very good aftertaste.

ZORRO

This wine comes from Finca Luzón in Jumilla and is made from Tempranillo and Monastrell grape varieties.
