SOMONTANO WINES

ENATE

A superb example of a Somontano wine from the Alto Aragón bodega at Salas Bajas.
Enate does a superb mix of both Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo/Cabernet Sauvignon.

LALANNE

This is a very good wine from this region, with a deep red colour and a long after taste.

MONTESIERRA

This is another good example of a fine Somontano wine, but unfortunately it is difficult to get in the UK. This wine should be served at 15°C.

PIRINEOS

This wine comes from the same bodega as the Montesierra (see above). Light and fruity, delicious with pastas and white meat.

SEÑORÍO DE LAZÁN

From the same bodega as the Montesierra, and made from Tempranillo and Moristel. Excellent with game, red meats, strong cheeses and meat stews.

VIÑAS DEL VERO

Another special wine for celebrating. This reserva is made from Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon/Pinot Noir and will not disappoint you.

VIÑAS DEL VERO

This white wine is made from Macabeo and Chardonnay. It has a light, straw colour, and is delicious with fish and shellfish. Enate (see above) also do a very good Macabeo and Chardonnay mix.

VIÑAS DEL VERO

This pink wine is delicious; it tastes of raspberries and can be drunk on its own or with fish or pasta dishes. It is made from Carbernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo grapes. It is very good value for money and can be obtained in the Coop.
